This site is devoted to photographs, formal and informal, of staff and pupils of the school building on Greengate Street, Oldham. It was last known as Greenhill School but had played an important part in the Oldham secondary education system under various names since opening circa 1902.
Though the site is technically a separate entity it runs in very close cooperation with
another greenhill-gs site providing more comprehensive web facilities.
We now have so many items that Static Page menus are no longer an appropriate way of presenting the photos. Everything on the site can be accessed quickly through the floating strip menus as seen at the top of this page.
However a more powerful display system can be accessed through the database retrieval pages specialised for Photographs (FotoFind) or People (FolkFind)
The site is owned and operated on a hobby basis only by Kevin Dronsfield, 1954-61.
